On ∆ - Transforms

چکیده
Any set of two legs in a Gough–Stewart platform sharing an attachment is defined as a ∆component. This component links a point in the platform (base) to a line in the base (platform). Thus, if the two legs, which are involved in a ∆ component, are rearranged without altering the location of the line and the point in their base and platform local reference frames, the singularity locus of the Gough–Stewart platform remains the same, provided that no architectural singularities are introduced. Such leg rearrangements are defined as ∆-transforms, and they can be applied sequentially and simultaneously. Although it may seem counterintuitive at first glance, the rearrangement of legs using simultaneous ∆-transforms does not necessarily lead to leg configurations containing a ∆component. As a consequence, the application of ∆-transforms reveals itself as a simple, yet powerful, technique for the kinematic analysis of large families of Gough–Stewart platforms. It is also shown that these transforms shed new light on the characterization of architectural singularities and their associated self-motions.

متن کاملFixing of Cycle Slips in Dual-Frequency GPS Phase Observables using Discrete Wavelet Transforms
The occurrence of cycle slips is a major limiting factor for achievement of sub-decimeter accuracy in positioning with GPS (Global Positioning System). In the past, several authors introduced a method based on different combinations of GPS data together with Kalman filter to solve the problem of the cycle slips. In this paper the same philosophy is used but with discrete wavelet transforms. For...

متن کاملClassical Wavelet Transforms over Finite Fields
This article introduces a systematic study for computational aspects of classical wavelet transforms over finite fields using tools from computational harmonic analysis and also theoretical linear algebra. We present a concrete formulation for the Frobenius norm of the classical wavelet transforms over finite fields. It is shown that each vector defined over a finite field can be represented as...
متن کاملMeasurement of Plain Weave Fabrics Density Using Fourier Transforms
Warp and weft spacing and its coefficient of variation affect the physical properties of fabrics such as fabric hand, frictional and mechanical properties. In this paper the weft and warp spacing and its coefficient of variation for plain weave is calculated using Fourier transforms. Different methods have been used in this work including autocorrelation function. First, two dimensional power s...
